Challenge #69 - Colouring

Happy Monday, everyone! Bronwyn here.
Did you get some scrapping done this weekend?
I hope you found some time to sit and relax with paper, pictures and glue...

For this week's challenge, I hope you give "colouring" a try.
Maybe you can colour a stamped image...
Perhaps you can draw and shade your own title words....
Perhaps you can include a picture drawn by your child when he/she was young....

It's up to you!

For my "Love" card, I needed a bit more pink in in my background papers.
So I used some pink chalk and filled in some of the polka-dots:

Joy
I had some fun this week colouring some images for Valentines Day

Barb
I used a purple chalk pad to colour the flowers to match the papers. I also used that same chalk to ink the edges of all the papers.

Lynne
I admit I rarely use inks.  Stamping is just not my'thing'.  I do like my chalks though and I like to color with them using a Kleenex to spread the color around.   This is a layout I did a while ago from my daughters trip to Israel.  I drew the background and colored it in with the chalks.

Challenge #68 - Birthday theme

Hey there you crafty people,

Thanks for joining us for a new challenge this week. I thought we could do a birthday theme
this week for our projects. Simple right?

Dig into your stash and find some stuff to celebrate someone's birthday.

Joy
Oh the things your friends make me do on your birthday.
I dug into some Dear Lizzy, I hadn't cut into a
single sheet since buying almost the entire line.

Barb
My birthday project is different than Joy's. It's very masculine and one of my son celebrating his 18th birthday.

Lynne
I need to apologize for being late to the game. This is my youngest daughter's 18th birthday.

#67 Collage Project Features

Great projects this week Ladies! I love seeing how everyone does different things with challenges.
I've chosen one card and one layout to feature.

The first one is a card from Lovely Linda. Isn't it gorgeous? What a unique collage of papers and images.

The next one is a layout by Carol. She did a digi layout. It was her first attempt at using Picasa to create a photo collage and I think it turned out great.

Thanks for playing along everyone. Hope to see you all this coming week with the new challenge.

#67 - Collage

A couple of years ago, Lynne introduced me to collages. I'm a multi-photo, multi-page scrapper. Quite often I have a problem narrowing down my photos to use on a page. Collages were the perfect answer to my dilema of using lots of photos without the page looking over-crowded.
She pointed me to Picasa (a free online photo storage/editing/sharing website) which will create a collage for you from the pictures that you select. Easy Peasy!

So ... long story short, this week's challenge is all about doing a collage on your project. For the card-makers in the group, a collage can be done using different papers and embellishments.

Here's my finished project.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with. Don't forget to link up your project using the link below so we can all see it.

Lynne
I love collages.  I know, Barbara already said that.  I decided that this challenge was perfect for my Year in Review layout.

The CIRCLE Game

Happy New Year everyone. Welcome to 2013. Lynne here.
I am quickly approaching my 'senior' years.  Some may say I am there already.  Anyway, the title of this post comes from a favorite song from my college years called The Circle Game by Joni Mitchell (check it out HERE) . This layout is one of my oldest daughter on her 2nd birthday.  Nina is now 31 and I am amazed that  the years have gone by so fast.  I used Basic Grey's Blush for this layout. (does anyone remember that one?)
For this weeks challenge, I would like you to prominently use a CIRCLE element on your card or layout while you enjoy Joni singing one of my favorite songs.

Joy

Barb

I love the look of circles on a layout or card. I used to use them all the time but for some reason I got away from using them. Thanks, Lynne, for getting me using them again.
In this layout I used a large circle as a background to a large sun.

Bronwyn

See my circle in behind all of the strips and photos??  It's kind of hidden, but it grounds all of the other elements on the page.
