Challenge #99 - Recipe for fun

Hello to you creative types,

Boy do we have a challenge for you this week. Most of you have heard of recipe challenges.
If not it's really simple. We will provide the list of ingredients you have to include on your project, you make a project including all of the ingredients and link it back here.

Ingredients:
1. add texture - embossing, heat embossing, molding paste
2. use paint or mist - splatters are acceptable
3. add a quote or a saying- famous or not

Have fun and get creative :)

Joy
used lots of templates, molding paste and paint to make this canvas

Lynne

This was really not easy for me.  I love recipe challenges, if I have the ingredients, (Could be why I don't cook, I never have the necessary food).  I went out to buy some yellow mist so I could complete this layout of my daughter's engagement ring.  I sprayed mist on yellow cardstock using a TH mask.  I then took siz of my border punches and punched and layered the strips for texture.  Everyone knows that "Diamonds are Forever".  (Hats off to the James Bond movie of the same name)

Milena
I have never done a recipe challenge before. At first my plan was to do a canvas, but alas, I ran out of time. I came up with this page instead. I used some texture paste with a template then misted both it and the background paper. The quote is from E.E. Cummings. I really enjoyed this and was amazed at how quickly the page came together when I finally sat down to do it.

Challenge #98 - Circles galore

G'day friends,

We hope you had a great weekend. It's Monday so it's challenge time.
This week your challenge is to use circles. Use them nay which way you like, the more the better.

Have fun and get crafty!

My layout uses circles as a design element for this page. I've used a circle tag in the top right to highlight a shark, the scalloped circle for the journaling, and lots of brads, and bling for bubbles.

Joy
This layout came together very quickly after I grabbed a package of old
journaling circles from Jillibean Soup. I used almost the whole package that has been sitting for years.
insert happy dance here :)

Lynne

I pulled out my many punches and just went a little crazy.

Milena
I pulled out some alcohol inks and blended them on an acrylic sheet. I then used my handy dandy circle cutter to cut different sized circles out of the acrylic and some paper to represent bubbles on my page.

Challenge #97 - Four patterns

Hey there peeps,

This weeks challenge comes to you from new mommy to her fourth son, Sarah.
Congratulations Sarah!!! Both mommy and baby are doing well and we send them much love and
hope she gets some sleep soon :)

Your challenge is to use 4 different pattern papers.
You choose how to use those 4 patterns; cover some embellishments as Milena did, simply create with 4 patters or maybe create a shape with 4 different patterns. We look forward to seeing what you make.

Joy
I used 4 different patters to make the shape behind the photo.
I was inspired to create the burst/sun shape by a layout
I saw on the American Crafts blog recently.

Lynne

I used a similar design with my patterned papers as Joy having no idea this is what she was going to do.  Too funny!  You know what they say about ladies who scrap together.....

Milena
I decided to do a winter page. I pulled out some chipboard pieces and covered them in different paper.

Barb
I used four different patterns for this two-pager. I have to say, I have a paper addiction! I love it all and can't seem to get enough of it.

Challenge #96 - Wood Veneers

Hi everyone.  Lynne here.
I am up this week and I am going to challenge you to use those wood veneer pieces you have hoarded.  Not sure if they are as popular now as they once were, but I still love them.  I also prefer them in their natural state.  They just seem to go with everything I do.  So have a good time and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Joy

I used 3 small wood veneer birds and some woodgrain paper for this challenge.
I cut too many banner pieces for my layout so I decided to make a card with the extra.

Milena
I am definitely a wood veneer hoarder!! I have quite a few pieces and had not used any before this challenge. I cheated a wee bit with this one and used a Basic Grey Page of the Month kit that I hadn't used. (Yet another impulse purchase that I just HAD to have!!)

Highlights Challenge #95 - Twine

Thanks so much to everyone who participated this week - and there were a lot of you. There were so many beautiful projects out there, I had a tough time choosing the highlights for this week so I chose 1 tag, 1 card and 1 scrapbook page.
