Challenge # 212 - More than One Photo

Hi Every one, Julia here.
This weeks challenge is to use more than one photo on your layout. I am an avid photo taker so I inevitably end up with a gazillion photos and I am always looking for inspiration to use more than one photo on a layout. So onto my layout...

Feel free to stop by my blog Julie's Journal of Life to see close ups. I can't wait to see what you create this week. Check out all the beautiful projects our design team made and then add your layout to the linky tool below!

I created this page using for the base the Theater paper of Music in Me Collection from Moxxie Papers. The second layer is a plain Real Red card stock and the second is Band paper from the same collection. The oval die cuts are from Darice, it's called Oblong Doily Frames and were cutting in Whisper White card stock.

For this weeks challenge, I took a different approach.  I don't scrapbook much, but I do plan weekly.  I have seen great planner spreads that include pictures.  I had not tried this before, so I added pictures to my planner spread.

Challenge Highlights #211 Black & White

Thank you so much to everyone who played along with my Black & White challenge this week.  Whilst we didn't get a lot of entries I absolutely loved all the ones we did get.  I both love and loathe this time of the week as I always want to choose you all as every entry is so different, so individual and so unique and that is what it is all about really.  So no more stalling... this week I have selected the following three stunning creations to be highlighted.  In no particular order -

Your striking, multi fold card complete with those cute butterlies just made me want more!

Being very much both a dog and cat lover this one appealed to me a lot! Such a simplistic idea and it totally rocks!  This is such a wonderful gift idea and so pleasing to the eye not to mention "striking" in every sense of the word!

and last but by no means least is

Making a sympathy card is never easy.  Finding that right balance is hard but Kathy has created a simply stunning card below!

Thank you again to everyone who joined in our challenge please keep the entries coming as we all love seeing them so much.

This is your chance to create and inspire others!  Use Your Stuff is seeking a new member for our design team!

Previous design team experience is not necessary!  We are looking for fun individuals that like to create with their stash and look to inspire others!  You would be required to post on your blog (or other social media site) 2x per month a project that you have created with that week's challenge set out by the Design Team.  You would be responsible for your own challenge about 1x every 6-8 weeks as well.  You do need to have a FB account as we have a private online group where we discuss upcoming challenges and the like!  You will also be responsible for visiting the blogs of the wonderful artists who join our challenges and leave them some love!

If you are interested, please email Tammy at with Design Team in the subject line.  Tell me your name, link your blog or social media page  (so I can see your work) and tell me about how you craft...what are your favorite things to use? do you have a style? how addicted are you to Pinterest? fun things like that :)

The DT call runs from Feb 17th until Feb 27th and the new member will be notified by Feb 29th and  introduced on March 7th on the blog!

I made this simple valentine's day card with rub-ons from Crate Paper and scraps.

I created an ATB with CherryPie Stamps in B&W, was so much fun, thanks for the challenge, dear Shirl ♥

Thanks to my fellow DT members for their gorgeous creations!

I can't wait to see what you all create... don't forget to link up your creations below so we can all leave you some love!

#210 - Use an Embossing Folder

Hi, it's Majo here from the design team and I'd like to show you two of my Easter cards using an embossing folder as a background.

It's always so easy to add texture without using patterned paper, the embossing technique does it all for you :)

This is what our talented team came up with:

Martha Lucia -  I used my embossing folder to stamp! Yes. I inked the raised side of my embossing folder with VersaFine Ink, put my paper inside of the folder and pass through the big shot and voila, I have a new image with embossing details that I colored with color pencils.

Amanda Crow - Dry embossing is one of my favourite techniques! I love how it can change the look of plain paper in so many ways!

Yes...I am working on Christmas cards for this coming Christmas!!

#209 - Inspired by a Love Song

Hello everyone!  Are you ready for this week's challenge...we want you to be inspired by a song..not just any song though...with February and Valentine's Day upon us, we want you to be inspired by a  LOVE SONG!
From the heart and from the soul, show us your love song inspired projects!

Here is what the Design Team has for you this week to get you started......

For this weeks challenge I took my inspiration from an Australian band called "Secret Garden" and their song "To the Moon & Back" in creating both my title for this layout as well as sentiment towards our gorgeous "adopted" Nan & Pop whom we all love "to the moon and back"!

I chose Madonna's 1985 song Crazy For You to title my page.

I, too, was inspired by Madonna's Crazy For You song to make a Valentine's Day card.

I was inspired by the Bette Midler song Baby Mine.  I think that the love a mother has for her child is one of the greatest in the son is my felt like I waited for him forever, but I just had to wait until the time was right to accept all that love!
